THE AMERICAN BALLET COMPETITION
17 - 21 March Established in 2004 by Katherine C. Kersten and Han Kee Juan, the American Ballet Competition offers a unique educational and performance opportunity for talented young dancers.  It exposes contestants to international guest teachers and artists through master classes, coaching sessions and opportunities to be viewed by professional dance directors from throughout the ballet world.

This year, Cheng Ballet will be represented at the competition by four of it's students :- Charmaine Gandasasmita (Primary Ballet III), Teo Kai Hui (Primary Ballet III), Sarah Kang (Youth Ballet II) and Natalie Lam (Youth Ballet II)

WORKSHOP BY CLOUD GATE DANCE THEATRE
23 May

Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, Taiwan's premier modern dance company founded by choreographer Lin Hwai-Min will be making an appearance at Cheng Ballet by conducting a mid-year workshop.

REVERANCE, MID-YEAR RECITAL
5 June Reverance,one of the main-stays of academy life here at Cheng Ballet, will be held in June. This annual mid-year concert showcases class work and short excerpts from the classical repertoire by our students.




WORLD BALLET COMPETITION
7 - 12 June The prestigious World Ballet Competition (Orlando, Florida), now in its fourth year, brings together competitors from around the world, from ages 10 to 22, and of all levels of experience- from introductory to professional.

Cheng Ballet is proud to confirm its participation yet again, for 2010.



CHENG BALLET YEAR-END PRODUCTION
12 December This year, Cheng Ballet will be restaging its fourth year-end production.

First presented in 2007, the year-end full-length ballet is a culmination of a year's studio training for all our students. The first performance, Snow White, had been a well-received debut back then. So please stay tuned for yet another dazzling production that will set out to charm and entertain yet again in 2010.
