Liu Xiao Mi

Xiao Mi is a professional ballet dancer and had received 6 years of vocational training with the Beijing Dance Academy.

During her 9 years dancing professionally with the Singapore Dance Theatre, she has worked with many many renowned choreographers and teachers such as Stanton Welch. Marie Claude Pietragalla and Johnny Eliasen.

Xiao Mi is currently broadening her experience and knowledge beyond classical ballet by exploring more in depth in contemporary dance and modern ballet by dancing with T.H.E. Dance Company.

Passionate about education and choreography, she wishes to contribute and share her experience by teaching and interacting with dance enthusiasts.

 

I started ballet classes with Hsienfa in 2000 and his patient instruction inspired me to develop a passion for dance. I have never looked back since. Ballet gives me a new way to express myself and I also love the music. I really enjoy classes at Cheng Ballet and the stage exposure during productions helped to increase my confidence.

It is rare to find teachers like Hsienfa and Yaling who encourage and motivate students to reach their potential, no matter what their ability, experience, age, size, or body shape.
